Medicare
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) approved coverage for mechanical heart valve patients to perform weekly testing. The prerequisites are:

• To be anticoagulated for at least three months

• To have a prescription from a supervising physician

• To attend a ProTime orientation session on proper device use
